Calgary Field Day

INtroduction

Calgary Field is pleased to host the largest field lacrosse event in the Western Canada with over 50 teams participating.  Our annual field day event will offer four boys competitive divisions, a growing women‘s division and will be held August 19 and 20, 2017.

All age groups particpate both days 

FIELD DAY FORMAT

Games consist of two 25 minute running halves with a 3 minute halftime 2 minute warm-up

Two CLA Certified Officials managing each game

Each team is scheduled 4 games

Modified Divisions | Peewee Girls  (7v7) and Tyke (5v5)

Tournament apparel and equipment will be available for purchase on site throughout the weekend.
 

Food Trucks

Calgary Field Day will have food and drink options open, including RoadTisserie and Avatara Pizza and others.
 

Medical Team 

There will be certified sports medicine staff on site during all the games.  Injuries will be evaluated by the on-site staff and their emergency protocol will be followed. 
 

Cancellation Policy 

No refunds will be issued for games that are cancelled due to unforeseen reasons related to unsafe weather conditions.  
 
All refunded team entry fees are subject to a $350 administrative fee.
 

Inclement Weather 

The Calgary Field Day will continue in rain and inclement weather at the discretion of the Tournament Director.  We will not play in lightning and severe weather including extremely high heat indexes.  
 
No refunds will be issued for games that are cancelled due to unforeseen reasons related to unsafe weather conditions. 
 

Field Day Details

Calgary Field players are encouraged to participate regardless of their practice group assignment, skill or experience. The goal is to provide all Novice to U19 players an opportunity to compete and gain further game experience.

ELEV8 coaching staff will direct and manage teams based on interest for each event. Roster sizes will be managed by ELEV8 coaching staff with the intention of driving repetition, compete level, accountability, experience, development and field time. Field day Teams will be structured based on competitive equality as field days are not tiered.
