REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

The U7 program is focused on introducing the basics of lacrosse in a fun, organized, and relaxed setting. With fewer equipment requirements, it’s easier and more accessible for kids to get started. To participate, U7 players will require the following:

  • Hockey/Ringette Helmet with a face mask
  • Lacrosse/Hockey Gloves
  • Lacrosse Stick
  • Lacrosse Arm Guards/Elbow Pads (Optional)

The U7 player-centred program will continue to focus on developing fundamental lacrosse skills such as: passing, catching, shooting, cradling, physical literacy, teamwork, and friendships in a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment. ELEV8’s professionally trained coaches will prioritize energetic and organized practices, small sided and free-play games and activities designed to excite young players about the sport while building confidence and growing with their peers.

This change will benefit players of all levels, whether they’re beginners in lacrosse or looking to improve their skills. With a focus on fun and accessibility, there’s never been a better time to get involved in lacrosse.

*All helmets must be CSA approved for ice hockey or NOCSAE approved. The helmet must have a chin strap which must be properly secured on both sides and cannot be altered from the manufactured form. Face Mask must be CSA approved for ice hockey or NOCSAE approved and must be approved for helmet model that it is mounted on.

Stick Length

We recommend cutting the shaft to suit the size of the player. This is typically somewhere between 24″ to 26″ from the bottom of the head for U7 players.
